CDIC Active Living Day
Where: St. Lawrence Park, Brockville Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking: Parking is limited at St. Lawrence Park. Community members are asked to either to take city transit, bicycle, or walk to the Park. The 2010 Canada 55+ Games will be the first since the Games began in 1996 to provide an Active Living Day. This special event will combine very low barrier and non-competitive activities with casual fun, providing added value to all of our senior-aged guests. If you don’t want to participate in any of the activities available, we invite you to come out and just kick back, relax and take in the sights, sounds, and tastes. Proposed Activities:

NOTE: Activities that take place during the day will be very different from the two OPEN Canadian Championship Events (5/10km Road Race) that will take place at St. Lawrence Park in Brockville on August 26, 2010. These will be run through our Sports Technical team and knowledgeable volunteers. See more on these events here>> All Active Living Day activities are FREE OF CHARGE for everyone 55+! You only need to come to St. Lawrence Park on Thursday, August 26 beginning at 9 a.m. It’s a great way to rub shoulders with the Games participants and enjoy the celebration! As always, St. Lawrence Park is open to the general public while Active Living Day is taking place and Park visitors are invited to watch the action, listen to the live entertainment, and take advantage of the special services!
